Tonight we took our new friend, Rich, to Akai Hana since he is a sushi connoisseur who used to work at a Japanese restaurant. I have little experience with Japanese cuisine, but what I tried was delicious. Rich didn’t think I’d like the octopus, but I did, and the philly rolls were another favorite; they had a nice sweetness to complement the saltier fish. Rich seemed pleased with his meal as well, so I take that as a good sign of the restaurant’s quality.

The "C" City Challenge!

The place to Just B, Carrboro, is going to challenge sister C city, Clayton, to a friendly throwdown (is that an oxymoron?) since I’m jealous they are the first city to get a MyNC web presence, a well-coordinated beta project sponsored by my friends at WNCN. Join me in showcasing why Carrboro is the place to B as we match Clayton’s top pics, videos, and talents with our own, clip-by-clip, pic-by-pic. We’ll both win as we highlight why small-town living is so grand.
