Yes, that is my thumb. I wanted to show the artists’ card and block a light. It’s from a video, and I’ll be able to edit that part out. Anyway, it adds my own thumbprint (sorry, had to) to the shot.
Visited Johnnys (no apostrophe; 901 W. Main St.) this morning. He’s about to do some landscaping and said he’s going to have a large outside area (in addition to an enclosed room) for lots of fresh, organic, locally-grown produce. Can’t wait! Also, here are a couple of stills from a video I’ll be editing this afternoon that show Brian (owner of Johnnys, no apostrophe) is supporting local artists such as Dana and Andrea of *Swirl* Recycled Homestuff.
Dedicated to all the basketball tweeters who cut down on play-by-play tweets (duck is in Mulberry Silks window display). Also read how ducky I am in my new Work in Carrboro post about free social media tools.

Shot her right between the eyes! at UPSO’s Wootini exhibit opening. Show runs March 14-April 7th, 2008, just in time for my IZNcarrboro photo project, which is all about eye imagery in Carrboro. Be sure to visit the artist’s website; he has a lot of fun things besides traditional wall hangings, like t-shirts, robots, and more.
Opening tonight! Wootini is an awesome toy shop for collectors and has a gallery in the front.
Good News: Maple View Farm Ice Cream on Weaver Street reopens this weekend!
Actually, Flicker Chapel Hill, is N Carrboro! Join us for the film fest this Sunday at Cat’s Cradle (of course, after you attend Century Center Cinema with me on Saturday).
I can’t wait until the new patisserie in Carr Mill Mall opens. Here’s a sneak peak at their interior decor.
Trying a new “flavor” of Just Neem soap right at the cafe, Sahara Desert, which turned out to have a pleasant, mild scent with just a bit of ex-foliating action. I like it better than harsher ex-foliating brands. Jess says the product has real sand from the Sahara, which would make it an interesting addition to a gift basket. I’ve got my holiday shopping done! Well, in my head at least.
Today I met fellow cafe and neem enthusiast, Jess, who also works from Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro.
