I’m enviously watching happy people exit Maple View Farms Ice Cream parlor on Weaver St. as I wait for my husband to join me for dinner first. Check out the website; I get a chuckle everytime I do as I’m reminded of my old playschool barn door.I’m enviously watching happy people exit Maple View Farms Ice Cream parlor on Weaver St. as I wait for my husband to join me for dinner first. I can’t wait for Neal’s Deli near Open Eye Cafe to open since I’m often rushing and forget to pack a lunch. The owner (or manager?) has been very patient with all my nose and camera poking as he prepares the restaurant for opening. See NsideOut Carrboro for another pic of the work going on inside.I can’t wait for Neal’s Deli near Open Eye Cafe to open since I’m often rushing and forget to pack a lunch. Well, even if Clayton readers aren’t participating directly in my challenge, I’m enjoying reading their posts, including one about Creation Station, by Melinda Yeargan. This photo is a much smaller response than the one I could give as the Century Center (our community center) is full of flying (that is, clothes-pinned, taped, strung up…) colors from our young, local artists. Awesome work, girls and guys!Well, even if Clayton readers aren’t participating directly in my challenge, I’m enjoying reading their posts, including one about Creation Station, by Melinda Yeargan. Robert loves sounds! Almost every day, he brings a new object to the cafe with which to make noise (sometimes a little too much for me, like the day he brought clackers). Today, he proudly showed off this guiter he made. I wish I’d gotten a shot of the back, which is beautifully colored; yet the cell phone camera isn’t good at capturing it. I was just glad Robert graciously agreed to share his creation with me and through this photo.Robert loves sounds! Darn, the card was really cool because it’s made of wood, but it didn’t even make it from johnnys (no apostrophe) to open eye, where I’m working this morning.Darn, the card was really cool because it’s made of wood, but it didn’t even make it from johnnys (no apostrophe) to open eye, where I’m working this morning.
